Old World Experience
although newly established, the wind company’s founding companies and management are industry veterans with long experience in all aspects of the wind industry. the wind company was formed by six leading Austrian wind energy companies which collectively own and operate over 500 MW of wind energy in Austria and other European countries and have realized more than 1.200 MW. The founding companies include Raiffeisen Energy & Environment GmbH of Raiffeisen-Group, the largest Austrian Banking Group, Energiewerkstatt GmbH, Austria’s leading wind energy developing, engineering, planning and consulting company and WEB AG, Windkraft Simonsfeld GmbH & Co. KG and ImWind Group, the largest Austrian wind farm operator and owner.

having identified the US and Canada as our strategic markets, the wind company has made a long term commitment
(a) to become a leading wind energy developer
(b) to assemble an IPP wind portfolio of 500-1000 MW and
(c) to enter other international markets, notably in Latin America.

Emission-free wind energy provides economically sound means of providing clean energy across the globe, reducing dependence on fossil fuels while meeting the challenges posed by climate change. The the wind company founders have recognized that we are only trustees of our planet for future generations and have contributed by meeting the annual power needs of 275.000 households while building Austria’s most successful wind energy companies.
